How Farmers Can Order Agro-input Supplies via the EzyAgric App

The outbreak of coronavirus in the country has affected a number of businesses, industrial sectors, among others. Amongst some groups of people affected are farmers, through they still have to supply produce across the country since one needs to feed. However, with the need to making more supplies comes more demand, thereby forcing farmers to make more produces. To make more produce, they need some agro-input supplies to fasten the whole process.

With the lockdown in place, many Ugandans are depending on eCommerce. Having their orders delivered right at their door-steps which is pretty much going well so far. Same thing, EzyAgric, is offering to farmers.

EzyAgric is a product of Akorion, an AgriTech company that digitizes the agricultural value chain to deliver better production and marketing services to farmers and other agribusinesses.

The app has an Agrishop feature to allow farmers order and pay for genuine agro-inputs from credible suppliers. Akorion takes the logistics to get orders from farmers, package the suppliers and make sure it’s delivered safely to any client across the country.

How?

One: Download the EzyAgric Farmer App from Google Play store and Install on your phone.

Two: Register for an account using your phone number. e.g 0752XXXXXX. You will be sent a confirmation code to validate that the number is yours.

Three: Browse the list of agro-input supplies like seeds, fertilizers and farming tools. Once in the app, you can pick as many items as you wish into your shopping cart and pay at ago.

Four: Confirm the list of items picked and submit the order to trigger payment. Payment can be through either MTN Mobile Money or Airtel mobile money.

Five: Wait for delivery to your indicated location.
