The ICT Association of Uganda (ICTAU) back in 2016 re-introduced its monthly event, dubbed LAN (adopted from Local Area Network) with the hashtag #LANReloaded, as a platform for industry stakeholders and technology enthusiasts to meet for business networking purposes.
The first of these was held on 10th November 2016 at the Sky Lounge in Kampala, and the second was held on 28th June 2017 at Big Mikes bar, along Acacia Avenue in Kampala, where everyone is welcome to attend.
The 3rd annual event is to be held on 27th June, 2018 at the BMK House opposite Hotel Africana, and the ICTAU community has invited all ICT enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, academicians and policymakers to this networking session. The event is hosted by Liquid Telecom – one of the leading independent data, voice and IP provider in Africa.
ICT enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, academicians & policymakers know better than anyone the value of networking! Don’t miss our next #LANReloaded on 27th June at 5pm, hosted by @liquidtelecom. Free entrance for members & 20k for non-members. Come with a friend & see you there! pic.twitter.com/8jkkgh9nXN

It is worth knowing that Automotive firm; Toyota Uganda was last week added to the ICTAU community as a corporate member. The memebership certificate was given to them by the Vice Chairman of ICTAU; TMS Ruge who took to his Twitter to make the announcment.
“It is my pleasure as Vice Chairman to welcome Toyota Uganda as a corporate member of ICTAU. Thank you for strengthening the growth of ICT sector in Uganda,” he wrote.
Meanwhile, one of the things we predict that could be discussed is the ‘Social Media and Mobile Money Tax‘ that was approved by the Ugandan Parliament in May – said to be effective on 1st July, 2018.[related-posts]
Event scheduled to start at 6 p.m (East African Time). However, members of the ICTAU community will enter for free while non-Members are required to pay UGX20,000.
