Huawei P10 Launched in the Kenyan Market – coming to Uganda in a few weeks

Earlier this year in February, Shenzhen-based smartphone makers, Huawei Technologies Co. Ltd, launched one of their anticipated phablets; the Huawei P10 during the Mobile World Congress 2017 in Barcelona. And as expected, the phablet spotted the famous Leica dual rear and front cameras with a cutting-edge portrait feature to make every shot a cover shot.

Beginning of March, the P10 along with the P10 Plus were first made available in the European and Asian market before coming to Africa (South Africa inclusive). Now that the phablet is already available on the African soil, including; South Africa, Egypt, Nigeria, Ghana, to mention a few, and then Kenya; where the flagship was released on Wednesday.

The device is targeted to those who are socially and technologically conscious thanks to its premium workmanship, class leading photography and latest specifications.

The device comes with the world’s first Leica Co-engineered front (selfie) camera which has been enabled to have a brighter sensor and larger aperture for outstanding self-portraits. The 8MP selfie camera will also produce pictures which have the signature Leica look, which means true-to-life colors.

The rear camera is already Leica certified since the launch of the predecessor packs a dual sensor with 20MP monochrome (black and white) and a 12MP colored sensor. Combining the dual sensors leads to better low light shots, hybrid zoom and a natural bokeh effect.

Notably, the smartphone firm also partnered with Go Pro to co-develop the photo editing software. With this editor, you can create a dynamic video of images and clips complete with transitions and music tracks.

About the specs:
The 5.1-inch HD display flagship is powered by the HiSilicon Kirin 960 SoC (4x Cortex-A73 and 4x Cortex-A53) with an integrated Cat 2/11 modem and Mali-G71MP GPU, runs on Android 7.1 Nougat-based EMUI 5.1 OS, 4GB RAM and 64GB internal storage with an expandable slot of a microSD of up to 256GB, while in terms of connectivity, spot 4.5G LTE, Bluetooth v4.2, USB Type-C, GPS, and DLNA. The Huawei also comes with a Hyper Diamond-cut finishing that prevents scratching or fingerprint smudges. And finally packs a battery of 3200mAh which support fast charging.

The device being launched in Kenya will be priced at KES 64,999 and made available in Mystic Silver, Rose Gold, Graphite Black, Dazzling Gold, Dazzling Blue, Greenery color variants.[related-posts]
