First Impressions

1. Support for 3.5-Inch screen handsets
The headset is design for handsets with 3.5 to 6 inch screen size, with a maximum length of 160mm. At first we thought it was sutiable for screen size ranging from 5.5 inches to 6 inches, but we got it wrong! The VR headset has Optical Axis Slider (marked in Red, Yellow, and Green colored dots) that help you adjust the headset depending on the handset you’re carrying. The Green; is the axis distance for handsets between 3.5 to 4.7 inch screen size, the Yellow; is for handsets between 4.7 to 5.5 inch screen size, and finally the Red; for handsets with larger screen size between 5.5 to 6 inches.

2. Wearing Glasses or not, the picture is still awesome
Those that normally wear glasses can still view everything clear and it’s still comfortable on wear. The pupil distance from the lens is 53mm to 72mm regardless of glasses. Whether you wear glasses or not, the scenario produced is crystal clear and awesome.

3. The ‘Thermovent’ feature
Comparing with the first (1st) generation headsets, the new headsets now come with the thermovent feature with appears on top of the lid. This is notably designed to release the heat that is generated by the long time usage of the phone.

4. The Magnet Controller
The Magnet Controller is mainly used for mobile apps; that were designed to use (We might have this in our review). The controller works in a way that, once you slide it up or down, the gyroscope of the smartphone will sense the change in magnetic field and will present functions such as shooting; if your playing a game, play, pause, forward or backward; if your watching/playing movies or musical videos.

Honorable Mentions:
It comes with new lenses to achieve greater field of view and decreases the vignetting at the edge of the picture, compared to the first (1st) generation headsets.[related-posts]

Having said all that, don’t think you will just place your smartphone in the headset and start using. It won’t produce the results you want. You ought to have a 3D or a VR mobile app installed on you phone, then you will be in position to play and watch 3D or VR content.

How to get 3D or VR content you ask, you can use YouTube or any other website of your choice to download 3D videos direct to your smartphone, or simply transfer 3D videos from one device from one gadget to yours. On the side of games; you can download VR games from you app store.
