Brand Finance; UK-based valuation and strategy consultancy company that puts thousands of the world’s biggest brands to test, evaluating which are the most powerful and most valuable, earlier this month released the 2017 world’s top 500 brands, where Cupertino-based tech firm, Apple Inc. was taken down by Mountain View-based internet search firm, Google Corp. after it’s five-year of rule.
Apple’s value fell from $145,918 million (as of 2016) to $107,141 million (2017). Meanwhile, Facebook had the greatest percentage change of 82% where it saw a great increase in it’s value from $34,002 million to $61,998 million.
Here’s the list of 2017 top 10 biggest technology firms in the world;
1. Google
Mountain View-based internet firm, Google Corp. primarily focuses on the areas which include search, advertising, operating systems, platforms, enterprise and hardware products. The search area consists of a vast index of websites and other online content which is made available through its search engine to anyone with an Internet connection.

2. Apple
Cupertino-based tech firm, Apple Inc. engages in the design, manufacture, and marketing of mobile communication, media devices, personal computers, and portable digital music players. The firm offers products and services under the iPhone, iPad, Mac, iPod, Apple Watch, and Apple TV brands, whereas consumer and professional software applications under the iOS, OS, X, and watchOS brands; and operating systems under the iCloud and Apple Pay brands.

As of April 2016, Alibaba was the world’s largest retailer surpassing Walmart, with operations in over 190 countries, as well as one of the largest Internet companies.
