Web-based version control repository and Internet hosting service, GitHub Inc. has added a new feature dubbed ‘Topics‘; labels that create subject-based connections between GitHub repositories and let you explore projects by type, technology, and more, to its code project platform.
The new Topics feature lets repo admins add tags to their public repositories, and with the help of machine learning and natural language processing applied to repository content, they also suggests some tags that might be worth adding/using for you repositories. You can use as many as you like to label your projects with their purpose, platform, language, community and whatever else you can think of.
Topics feature is a handy tool for discovering similar projects that you might want to learn from or contribute to or interested in.
