Technology has been changing our healthcare system for years. The use of MRI and CT Scans to diagnose chronic illness and other conditions helps to save thousands of lives every year. We are also seeing the implementation of electronic health records (EHRs) and other technological advancements across the country. In fact, Uganda is one of the most advanced countries in Africa when it comes to the implementation of healthcare technologies.
Unfortunately, some of these technologies are also causing the cost of healthcare to go up. The same problem is happening in the United States according to studies complied by Rutgers Online. The university’s online MPA program concluded that the implementation of Evidence Based Practices (EBP) will help improve healthcare further without increasing the cost of treatment for patients.
EBP will soon be implemented across the country too. Be sure to learn more about the matter from the complete Using Evidence-Based Practices to Improve Healthcare in the United States infographic below.
