Starting today, popular password manager and two-factor authenticator app LastPass is now completely free.
Previously, it was free on mobile, syncing all your passwords and logins across device and required a subscription to use.
If you already have a free LastPass account, you will be able to sync between the browser extension and the mobile app, while those users who already paid for LastPass Premium will still have a few extra features like family sharing for up to five users, 1GB of encrypted file storage, YubiKey and other two-factor login integrations, desktop fingerprint identification and the ability to use LastPass for applications.
As a means of supporting the freemium model, the unpaid users will see ads showing up in LastPass.
However, you may have to reconsider Premium subscription since it is at $1 per month, and will get rid of the Ads.
