Huawei promises 48 hours lasting battery with its GR5 Mini smartphone. The new Huawei GR5 Mini has been designed with a long-lasting battery offering up to 32 hours for hard users, this will eliminate constant hourly charging and power bank dependence.
Jean Baguma, Marketing Manager Huawei Uganda explained that the GR5 Mini smartphone has been equipped with a 3000mAh battery life which is strong enough to withstand hard use for at least 32 hours.
” The GR5 Mini’s 3000mAh battery comes with intelligent power saving technology that allows the battery to last for as long as two days without charging for light users, and 32 hours for hard users,” she said.
mAh means milliamp Hour and is a unit that measures (electric) power over time. It is commonly used to measure the energy capacity of a battery; generally, the more mAh, the more the battery capacity.
In addition to its battery prowess, Baguma explained that the GR5 Mini comes with new generation fingerprint technology sensor that has been improved to 100 per cent over the first generation.
“The GR5 Mini fingerprint sensor has a 0.5 seconds response time with a 360-degree readability which is especially exciting for photo and selfie lovers as with one quick touch on the fingerprint sensor, they will be able to activate camera,” Baguma said.
The GR5 Mini has an 8MP front camera, with high chromatic resolution, 4P lens array and a 77-degree wide angle visual range. It takes sharp looking selfies and also enables selfie lovers include more people within the selfie shot.
The rear-facing 13MP camera features a f/2.0 aperture, 78-degree wide angle visual range, 5P Aspheric lens array with a blue glass filter to improve photo quality.
” It also has a professional mode for taking photos with parameters similar to that of a Single-Lens Reflex (SLR) camera that permits the photographer to view through the lens and see exactly what will be captured,” Baguma explained.
In regards to its hardware and processing power, the GR5 Mini combines design elegance with powerful specifications. It comes with a Full HD (1920x1080p), 5.2″ display; this is comfortable enough for hand handling and is perfect for office work. It comes with a 64-bit Octa core processor, 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM with expandable storage MicroSD slot of up to 128GB and operates with the latest OS Android v6.0 Marshmallow.
The GR5 Mini also supports tasks like speech recognition, low-power consumption, MP3, sensor hub, Fused Location Provider (FLP) navigation, and more efficient location-based tasks.
Baguma explained that the GR5 Mini is targeted to the mid-range customer and is selling at a Recommended Retail Price of 837,760 Ushs across all Huawei-affiliated dealer shops countrywide to include Nile Communications, Simba Telecom, Go Phones, Nile Communication, Fone Express, Praise Communication and kilimall.
