In the next few weeks, you will be able to go live on Facebook with the ability to apply filters from the MSQRD app
You will be able to utilize its many different masks and filters even when video is running.
Last March, Facebook acquired Masquerade, the startup behind MSQRD saying it planned to continue enhancing the Facebook video experience.
The MSQRD integration was announced by Facebook’s director of produc at VidCon, the annual online video conference in Anaheim, CA.
Last year, Snapchat acquired facial recognition startup Looksery to build out its selfie lens store, and Looksery helped Snapchat development a face-swap technology similar to MSQRD’s.
Facebook also revealed that later this summer, you’ll be able to invite a friend to “drop in” on a live broadcast.
