A research carried out by Android Central has revealed that Text messaging(SMS) is the most preferred method of choice for contacting friends and family.
This is no surprise since SMS messaging is available on every phone, is easy to use, and it’s even free on a number of cellular plans.
Google Hangouts and WhatsApp grabbed a good bit of support, while FaceBook Messenger came in at number four with 13-percent of the vote.
Another advantage of SMS is that it does not rely on an existing data plan to function like other messaging apps.
As data becomes more and more available, probably more people will adopt messaging apps.
