Latest comments from Microsoft’s executives have revealed plans to announce new premium Lumia smartphones running Windows 10 pretty soon.
The Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group, Terry Myerson while at the company’s Worldwide Partner Conference, said that they last week announced a focusing on Lumia lineup.
He went on to add that, “soon you will see premium new Lumias designed for Windows 10.”
The software giant recently announced its plans to layoff 7,800 of its workers in the next 12 months majorly from the phone division and has even written down $7.6 billion from company’s acquisition of Nokia’s Devices and Services division in 2014.
Nick Parker, Microsoft’s CVP is hosting a keynote event titled “Windows 10 Lights up New Devices” at IFA 2015 and we may probably see new Lumia flagships announced alongside new Windows PC running Windows 10 from OEM partners.
