Social Networking giant Facebook is acquiring product search engine called TheFind to bring in new technology and talent to improve Facebook ads.

TheFind is a 10-year-old company that makes a search engine and app that lets users search for physical products for sale on sites all across the Web.

News sources say that the social network is however going to shut down the service and some of TheFind’s employees are joining the Facebook ads team.

The employees joining Facebook will be using their technology and are expected to try to improve ads on Facebook that feature products, according to a person familiar with the deal.

TheFind owns seven patents, which will presumably be lucrative to Zuck’s ad tech treasure chest.

The terms of the deal weren’t disclosed.
