US Army tests robotic mule at RIMPAC, Hawaii

A robotic mule has been tested by the US marines at the world’s largest international maritime warfare exercise in Hawaii.

The Legged Squad Support System (LS3) is operated by a sensor strapped to a human foot. Military footage shows Lance Corporal Brandon Dieckmann fitting the sensor to his boot, before LS3 follows him across a field.

The Rim of the Pacific (RIMPAC) exercise takes place every year at the Kahuku Training Area in Oahu.
