Technology giant HP has jumped onto the Android bandwagon, with an affordable handset that is yet unnamed but is designed for emerging markets like those in Asia, the Middle East and Africa.
It is said that the low-cost handset HP is prepping will be priced at approximately $200.
The yet unnamed Android smartphone is said to sport a 5.5-inch screen which may be equipped with a HD resolution of 720 pixels.
It is said to look like Samsung’s Galaxy Note phablet with its large display.
Other specs of the handset are not known as of now, but given its affordable price point, they are likely to belong to the entry level genre.
HP has been working on its Android handset plans for a year and a half under the guidance of HP’s Senior Vice President of Mobility, Alberto Torres. Nothing officially has been said yet even though its slated release is said to be soon.
