Amity Centre of e- Learning holds “Virtual Convocation” for the graduands of five African Nations

New Delhi: As part of three day Convocation of Amity University, Uttar Pradesh, Amity Centre of e- Learning held “Convocation- Virtual Degree Distribution Ceremony” on December 16, 2011 overseas graduands enrolled under Pan African e- Network Project. The Virtual Convocation took place for 136 graduands enrolled under five programmes- MBA- International Business, MBA- Finance and Control, Post Graduate Diploma in IT, Diploma in IT and Diploma in Business Administration at different venues across five Nations including Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology, Kumasi, Ghana, Botswana College of Distance and Opn Learning, Botswana, University of Malawi, Malawi, Mekerere University, Uganda and Kigali Institute of Education, Rwanda.

Mr. Manoj Sharma- Director, e-Learning Programmes & Pan African e-Network Project, Amity Center for e-Learning (ACeL) gave the welcome address.

Dr. Jude Lubega – Head ICT & Dean, Makerere University, Kampala, Uganda attended the virtual Convocation at Amity University and received degrees on behalf of the graduands of Makerere University, Kampala.

The Convocation at Amity University was attended by Dr. Ashok K Chauhan- Founder President, Amity University, Mr. Atul Chauhan- Chancellor, Amity University, Uttar Pradesh (AUUP), Maj. Gen K J Singh- Vice Chancellor, AUUP, Prof. (Dr.) Gurinder Singh- Pro Vice Chancellor (International), AUUP and Dr. B Shukla- Pro Vice Chancellor (Academics), AUUP.

Over 3 Gold, 3 Silver and 3 Bronze Medals were awarded to the merit holders of the Management programmes. The proud recipients of Gold Medals included Mr. Charles Orwothwun from Master of Business Administration- International Business, Mr. Richard Wasswa from Master of Finance and Control and Mr. Tawakali Lipenga and Mr. Newton Sunday Sindo from Diploma in Business Management.

Silver Medals were awarded to Ms. Sylvia Kazarwa from Master of Business Administration- International Business, Ms. Sheila Kasemiire from Master of Finance and Control and Mr. Julius Macdonald Chapunga from Diploma in Business Management. 

Ms. Colleta Motshabi from Master of Business Administration- International Business and Ms. Daphne Naggayi from Master of Finance and Control were given Bronze Medals.
