The objective is to create an opportunity for citizens, Africans in particular, to engage with policy makers in the formulation of e-governance policies and initiatives and assessment of the public value of current e-governance efforts by African governments. The premise of the discussion is situated on an on-going e-governance mapping study by the Africa egovernance Academy, the African Institute for Development Informatics and Policy and United Nations Development Programme, Ghana.
The findings of a review of research on e-governance are outlined in this concept note. Based on this review a number of questions are positioned for discussion in this online policy review, from 1-29 July 2011. The key conclusions and lessons will be discussed at a forum on the 28 July 2011.
The website for the policy dialogue is: www.policydialogue.africadigitalweek.com. You are invited to join the discussion.
