According to rankings by the Amazon-owned Alexa.com, Google, Facebook and YouTube are the most visited websites in Uganda. This is not surprising as many of us use the search engine many times a day, and practically live our lives on Facebook.
Daily Monitor’s website is the most visited Ugandan website, coming in at number 7 of the overall Uganda ranking as the only Ugandan website among the top 10.
Alexa, the Carlifornia based web traffic and data company tracks and analyses sample sets of internet traffic including traffic from users of their toolbar, some data direct from websites that have installed their script and other sources that they do not disclose.
“Independent research” by Timothy Kalyegira’s Kampala Express placed PC Tech Magazine at number 18 on February 7th, and as the month comes to a close it is at number 7 according to Alexa.
