The incubator for Free basic functionality Praekelt.org welcomes its First websites

The incubator for Free basic functionality of Praekelt.org (Incubator for Free Basics), a tool designed to help organizations and developers to develop a platform for the free basic features, has  revealed more than half of the selected candidates and its first 10 sites online.

Launched in November 2015, the incubator for Free basic functionality of Praekelt.org received thousands of applications since the program was announced, and more than 50 partners were selected by an independent international jury, after an evaluation process rigorous.

An Organizations cover the areas of health, economic empowerment, youth, gender, agriculture, civic engagement and education and are located in various regions of Africa and Asian.

Many of these organizations do not have the technical knowledge to take full advantage of free basic functionality program, but through training, technical tools and assistance offered by Praekelt.org, many smaller organizations as well as local organizations have now joined the platform.

Here are a few partners now online on the platform free basic features, with the help of the incubator:

She Inspires Her , an organization whose goal is to inspire future entrepreneurs and promote the African continent small businesses become owned by women.

HelpMeSee  that eradicates avoidable blindness caused by cataracts.

SEED Madagascar  which aims to improve English in Madagascar by teaching through its mobile site  SEED English

Edukayson , a site based in the Philippines and whose objective is to eradicate youth unemployment by helping them plan their education towards a career.

Da Subject Matter , a subsidiary of Planned Parenthood and based in Nigeria.

African Trust Academy  inspires and educates people by providing financial education and credit ratings based on financial education to improve their financial inclusion.

WeFarm  mission is to help farmers to improve their living conditions through better access to information, animal breeding for planting, to fertilizing and harvesting crops.

doctHERs  connects women with aim to influence their behavior by raising awareness in the health field and pushing them to improve their own health and transform lives.

Vahan.co  makes it more accessible and effective education for low-income populations to help them find a job more easily.

We Dream Africa  provides entertaining e-books on the theme of Africa.

Applicants have appreciated the training and tool and saw it as an added value.
