Self destructing Photo and Video sharing company Snapchat has reportedly agreed to acquire Bitstrips, in a deal is valued at around $100 million.
Bitstrips is the company behind the popular Bitmoji mobile app.
Snapchat’s motivations behind the reported acquisition still remain unclear, though this indicates more options for users to sustomize their snaps.
None of the companies has come out yet to comment on the news which first appeared in Fortune.
Looks like Bitstrips’ expertise with helping users craft custom cartoon avatars would add more customization for Snapchat.
