Raspberry PI 3 now comes with Wi-Fi on board at USD 35

As Raspberry Pi Foundation celebrate their 4th birthday today, they have launched their new tiny and affordable computer the “Raspberry Pi 3 Model B” at a price of USD 35 (117,075 UGX), same price as their previous Raspberry Pi 2, but comes with the Wi-Fi and the Bluetooth connectivity built on the board with also an upgraded processor of 1.2 GHz compared to the Pi 2’s 900MHz plus an upgraded power system. The new Raspberry is completely compatible with the previous makes; the Raspberry Pi 1 and Pi 2. The Wi-Fi and Bluetooth are powered by a Quad Core Broadcom BCM2837 64-bit ARM Cortex-A53 processor.

More than eight million Raspberry Pi’s have been sold since the computer was first launched on 29th February, 2012 four years today making it positively the best-selling British-made and designed computer in history.

Additionally, the new Raspberry Pi 3 offers a higher level of performance than any other Raspberry Pi board on the market.
