Most Pirated Movies, Songs and TV Shows of 2013

piracyPiracy hits not only Software but movies, Songs, TV shows and a number of documents, all being downloaded illegally. In a report compiled by the website TorrentFreak, “The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey” was estimated to have been illegally shared over 8.4 million times last year, making it the most pirated movie of 2013.

“Django Unchained” came in second with 8.1 million downloads, followed by “Fast and Furious 6” and “Iron Man 3.”

Below is a list of the 10 most pirated movies, the estimated downloads and how much they grossed worldwide.

When it comes to TV Shows, “Game of Thrones” held its title as the most pirated television show for a second year, followed by “The Walking Dead” and “Breaking Bad” in second and third place.

Under music, Bruno Mars was the most pirated artist, with 5.8 million illegal downloads of his music. Rihanna and Daft Punk were also notably ripped off, to the tune of 5.4 million and 4.2 million downloads, respectively.
