MTN ICT Expo 2024: Pioneering Digital Transformation for Business Growth

MTN Group and its partners have today opened the MTN ICT Expo 2024 which is to run for two days under the theme, “Accelerating business transformation with digital technology”. Happening at Mestil Hotel in Kampala, the ICT Expo is a build-up from the recent partnership with Microsoft, marking a significant milestone in MTN’s Ambition 2025 strategy to transition from a telecommunications company to a leading technology company, delivering innovative solutions for Africa’s progress.

In his opening remarks at the expo, the General Manager of MTN Enterprise Business Unit, Ibrahim Senyonga said, “We reconfirm that as a technology company, we are indeed the partner committed to accelerating your business transformation using our ICT services.” He added, “With 12,000kms of fiber, 11 metro rings, and a state-of-the-art data center, MTN Uganda is ready to partner in innovation.”

Senyonga noted that the telco strongly believes that digitization is the future of all businesses, from healthcare to manufacturing, to banking —and thus, is committed to ensuring everyone enjoys the benefits of a modern connected life.

“Digital transformation is now a necessity and not a luxury,” said Senyonga.
