The Mastercard Community Pass, a shared, interoperable digital platform is increasing access and reducing the cost to serve remote communities. In addition, it facilitates life transactions for the digitally excluded and underserved.
With no consistent ID or credentials, onboarding and servicing digitally excluded individuals is often manual, inefficient, and expensive.
The Community Pass is a digital platform that disparate service providers can use to effectively increase access and reduce the cost of delivering high-quality and essential services.
With the Community Pass, Service Providers can access key features that enable digital transactions: a functional identity, a shared wallet, a digital acceptance device, and a secure, protected data platform.
This platform now boosts over 4 million individuals accessing critical services in remote communities.
The Community Pass is grounded in Mastercard’s core capabilities, enabling safe, secure, and interoperable digital transactions to drive inclusive growth in all communities.
The 2nd annual Community Pass summit being held this week is expected to recognize high-performing Community Pass Agricultural participants and early adopters of Community Pass Digital identity.
The Summit is being supported by Mastercard with partners such as; Google, Shell Foundation, Heifer International, DFCU, and Equity Bank Uganda, among others.
