Micro-blogging and social networking service, Twitter Inc. introduced Spaces in 2020 but was limited to a group of people until May 2021 when it was officially rolled out to all accounts with 600 or more followers on Twitter.

Twitter Spaces is an audio streaming feature available on Twitter for iOS and Android. The feature allows users to have live audio conversations on the platform and allows a wide variety of options for engagement —before, during, and after the session.

Twitter users can now put a hold on tweeting and use Spaces to talk and listen. From tweeting to talking, reading to listening, Spaces encourages and unlocks real, open conversations on Twitter with the authenticity and nuance, depth and power only the human voice can bring. Prior, people would come to Twitter to tweet about what was/is happening —with Spaces, it lets you hear their voices and talk about what’s happening, hold discussions, and just opt to listen to one another rather than making tweets.

There’s a lot to know about Twitter Spaces from how to Start a Space to Joining a Space to Managing a Space, among others. But today, we want to look at how you can Schedule a Space.

Twitter has made it possible for Space Hosts to schedule Twitter Spaces. The micro-blogging platform allows hosts to schedule 10 Spaces up to 30 days in advance. As for the listeners, they are able to subscribe to a scheduled Space and get a reminder once the host starts the live audio discussions.

So how do you schedule a Twitter Space, well here’s how;

Step 1: Launch the Twitter App on Android or iOS.

Step 2: Long-press the compose (+) button on your button right corner and select the Space option (select the mic).

Step 3: Give your Space a name.

Step 4: Choose up to three relevant topics.

Step 5: Toggle ON  the ‘Record Space’ option if you want to record the space or leave it turned OFF if you don’t wish to record the Space.

Step 6: Next to the Start Now, tap the ‘Calendar with the Clock’ icon to select a date and time for your Space and click ‘Schedule’.

Once you’ve scheduled a Space, you can review the settings by tapping the microphone icon in the Twitter app.

If you wish to make any changes to your upcoming Space, you can tap Edit to modify the name, date, or time. However, only the name of the scheduled Space can be modified once the Space is live.
