Early this year in January, the government of Cameroon shut down internet services in the North West and South West regions of the country, especially in the restive English-speaking regions for now close to three months.
Protest to restore the internet have been going with the Hastag #BringBackOurInternet – till today, and internet hasn’t yet been restored.
According to reports by Cameroon website, President Paul Biya has ordered the Minister of Posts and Telecommunications; Issa Tchiroma Bakary to order Internet Service Providers (ISPs) to re-establish internet connection to these regions.
The announcement reportedly came via a press release from the communication ministry.[related-posts]
