Seedstars world Kampala is set to held on 30th September 2016 to find Uganda’s best seed stage startup to represent the country at the Seedstars Summit.
With a strong network of international partners such as Inmarsat, INADEM, Standard Bank and Deloitte, Seedstars World is looking for smart startups that solve regional issues and develop profitable products for the global market, to support their regional businesses and growth.
The global seed stage startup competition returned in its 2016 edition to 20 African countries, as it embarked on it s search for the best startups to compete at the global finale in Switzerland.
Seedstars World also announced the possibility of walking away with up to $1 million in equity investment up from $500,000 last year for the 2016 World Tour edition.
Techmoran reports that previous participants have raised over USD 61M collectively, providing employment to more than 800 people worldwide.
The companies selected to pitch at the Seedstars Kampala event need to be less than 2 years old, have raised less than USD 500,000 in funding and have built a minimum viable product, ideally with existing traction. As well as a regional and global scalability.

The 10 best startups from Kampala will be invited to pitch in front of an investment panel and compete to be crowned the most promising seed-stage startup of Seedstars Kampala 2016. The winning startup will join the global Seedstars Family and take part in the regional and global Seedstars Summits that include our tried and tested bootcamp and investor forum. It’s a catalytic platform for high growth emerging market startups.
