Africa Internet Group (AIG), a subsidiary of Rocket Internet, officially renamed its companies in the African market to become part of one huge Jumia brand with the vision to expand your horizons.
Hotel booking platform Jovago re-brands to Jumia Travel, Food delivery company HelloFood to Jumia Food, Community marketplace Kaymu re-brands to Jumia Market, Real estate Lamudi becomes Jumia House, Vendito to Jumia Deals, Everjobs to Jumia Jobs, Vehicle marketplace Carmudi to Jumia Cars and AIG’s logistics services AIG Express will now be known as Jumia Services.
Jumia founders and Co-CEOs Sacha Poignonnec and Jeremy Hodara say the move will offer greater opportunities to sellers and buyers while addressing the needs and expectations of customers on quality, convenience and trust.[related-posts]
So far, there are no reports of a change in staff or management of these companies, they just did a name change. Everything will continue to run as is. With this move, Jumia will become a much larger network in Africa comprising of services ranging from travel booking to food delivery to job search to online shopping and so forth in 23 countries in Africa.
