According to CNN Money, Apple Inc. has sold 896 million iPhones between June 29, 2007 when the iPhone first on sale and the end of 2015. If Wall Street analysts’ forecasts are accurate, the company will sell its 1 billionth iPhone sometime this summer on July 20.

When the company provides its quarterly finances on April 25, it’s expected to report that it sold 50 million iPhones during the first three months of 2016, which would get them to 946 million total iPhones sold.

Apple is expected to sell another 44 million iPhones, raising their total to 990 millions iPhones according to analysts polled by FactSet.

There is no doubt that the iPhone is one of the bestselling tech products of all time. However, 1 billion is a familiar number to the company as it has recently sold it’s  billionth iOS gadgets in November 2014 which includes iPhone, iPad and iPod Touch.[related-posts]
