Liquid Telecom launches new brand for its retail services across the continent

Liquid Telecom has announced the launch of a new brand for its retail services across the continent.

The Pan-African fibre-broadband internet service provider (ISP)Confirmed the development via a press release where it unveiled ‘Hai’ moniker, which means ‘I am alive’ in Swahili.

This is going to be used for services targeting both the residential and SME sectors.

Hai’ has already been introduced in Zambia, while rebranding in Kenya and Rwanda will ‘follow shortly’.

Among the ISP services on offer from Hai are: ‘Fibroniks’, Liquid Telecom’s fibre-to-the-home (FTTH) service offering downlink speeds of up to 100Mbps; ‘Crashplan for Africa’, a business continuity and data protection service that continuously and seamlessly backs up customer data; and a Wi-Fi hotspot service for public places.

Liquid Telecom Group chief executive Nic Rudnick said they have firmly established Liquid Telecom as the premier wholesale carrier in Africa, and expanding into the retail market has become a focus for Liquid Telecom.

Liquid telecom has acquired a number of retail brands as part of our geographic expansion.
