Office365 enterprise users can now broadcast to 10,000 people at once via Skype

Software giant Microsoft has announced the availability of three technical previews today that form a part of Skype for Business.

Among the new previews released, one allows mass video calling across the Web.

However, you will have to be an Office 365 enterprise subscriber to test it.

You then register for access to Skype Meeting Broadcast which is a largely device-agnostic video conferencing tool for ‘town hall’ type meetings with up to 10,000 participants.

The preview features include the ability to take feedback from attendees via Yammer integration and Bing Pulse sentiment tracking.

Enterprise users can also register for PSTN Conferencing, which lets people dial into a Skype for Business meeting in Office 365 from a landline or mobile, however this option is only available in the US currently.

The new technical previews also includes Cloud PBX with PSTN Calling, which lets business users make and receive phone calls via Skype for Business, with the addition of features like hold, resume, forward and transfer.
