In addition to making driverless cars and weird headgear, the Google X labs also has a life sciences department where the company is working on an early detection system for cancer.
The Atlantic got a look inside the lab and what it found was that Google is working on an armband that would be able to detect cancer via glowing nanoparticles in the wearers skin. It sounds awesome.
What this means is that the company has to create fake arms with synthetic (and sometimes real) skin of varying types and color which is kinda of creepy, but still pretty awesome.
