Like Djay, Vjay aims to put heavyweight media mixing powers in the hands of ordinary folk, this time leveraging the iPad’s ample screen real estate and touch interface to deal specifically with video.
According to Geeky Gadgets, the new Algoriddim Vjay app will even allow users to use the iPad’s built-in camera to add original images and video footage to their creations.
Using Vjay, users can then display their new video footage directly to a TV, via Apple TV, or record their performances live to share on their favourite social networks.
Karim Morsy, CEO of Algoriddim, believes this service could give a boost to sales of music videos, which have not been as popular as in the early days of MTV, when they were a sort of cultural icon, Forbes states.
The Vjay app also integrates with third-party DJ hardware and software from Griffin DJ Cable and Numark iDJ Live.
