Warid Telecom announces lowest international call rates

Warid Telecom has lowered international call rates in another move to empower customers. The promotional tariff will enable customers to call China, USA, Canada, India for as low as 2/=, running for three months effective 19th April 2011. The announcement was made at a Press Conference during which Warid Head of Sales and Marketing Shailendra Naidu also unveiled a new Warid hip phone nick named Chali which will be selling at Ugx 40,000 alongside the famous Warid Daboline phone. According to Shailendra, the move is in line with Warid’s continuous endeavour to break all the barriers that hinder Ugandans from owning a mobile phone.

Speaking about the call rates, Shailendra said now with this offer Warid customers can enjoy the lowest rate of 2 shillings per second while making calls to China, Europe, UK, Japan, USA, Canada and India from otherwise high international call rates.
