The Issue of dates: Webmasters, take note!

Daily Monitor’s “Big Story” today indicates that it was published on November 1, 2010 There are issues you easily put behind you, and those that easily put you behind them. The first time you get hacked is one of those that really put you behind them. In your first experience (at being hacked), if you have a bad boss, you may lose your job. At worst, you’ll spend a few nights awake. The thing about designing websites is that you talk to numerous readers, most of whom will never give you feedback. As such, it is extremely imperative to analyse what you publish before you click the button.

Today, December 1, 2010, Uganda’s Leading Daily newspaper, The Daily Monitor’s frontpage story reads, Airtel gets  new Managing Director… on November 1st. 

It confused me to think Airtel, formerly Zain, formerly rebranded as way back as November 1st, yet PC Tech Magazine first broke the story last week.

For those of you in the business, be careful what you publish…
