Zimba Women, a flagship project of Zimba Group – a leading IT solutions provider specializing in provision of technical and software solutions for SMEs, on Tuesday held a press conference at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala to officially launch it’s first annual 2 day summit, dubbed “Breaking Business Barriers” which will bring together more than 300 women who are building and running women-led businesses.

These women are to come and share their stories, practical advice and act as an example to other fellow women.

Zimba Women is working together with tech and governmental institutions such as; NTF III Uganda, Uganda Investment Authority, the American Embassy, Facebook, Smart Girls Uganda, to name few, to create opportunities for women to actively, safely and fairly participate in the economy by providing access to skills and training for women on projects activities include but not limited to entrepreneurship training, business coaching, mentoring, knowledge transfer, customized business training, access to networks and resources, as well as increased business exposure and business to business linkages.

Zimba Women has established a socio-economic conscious business environment that includes full support of women entrepreneurs that could potentially bring millions out of poverty and reduce an alarming gender income gap seen on the African Continent.

The Two day summit is scheduled to take place at Sheraton Hotel, Kampala from 28th to 29th September, 2016.
