Event: Ruby Programmers Workshop to Take Place in Kampala

Nairuby-UG in association with Nairuby-Ke will host the Ruby Programmers workshop that is due to take place at Makerere University DICTS, Faculty of Technology on October 22 2016

This One-day Ruby Bootcamp is a platform for leading Ruby Developers from regional,East Africa to come together to share,inspire and learn from each other.Target participants of this Ruby Workshop are upcoming software developers, and already experienced software developers

Participants will learn HTML, Rails and GIT basics that will get them moving in the right direction in regards to their app development process. They will also be equipped with the knowledge of the basics of programming in Ruby – enough to play around with arrays, hashes, control structures, and methods and also be able to build and deploy a simple Rails app (“Twitter clone”) to Heroku.

Ruby Programmers workshop is to be held under the theme,”Ruby on Rails and Entrepreneurship and will have highly versatile and cross-cutting speakers who include:Robert.B.Wamala founder of nasWare Ltd and founder of Ruby Uganda,Bernard Banta, founder of Banta Technologies(BT) and Micheal Kimathi who has over 7 years experience working in innovative ecosystems and building solutions.

The event also offers free internet and free lunch at a registration fee of 30,000 UGX and 60,000 UGX for students and working class respectively.
