Samsung Galaxy Note 6 rumored to sport a 5.8″ curved display, 6GB RAM

New details about the Galaxy Note 6 have surfaced, tipping that Samsung may be testing two variants of the handset – one with flat screen and another with a curved display according to the latest leaks from GSM Help Desk.

The fact that Samsung might not launch a new Galaxy S7 edge+ is a possibility since the S7 edge with its 5.7-inch curved display is closer in display size to the S6 edge+.

Under the hood, Samsung is said to be using its in-house Exynos powered processor for the European prototypes while the company has also sent out units powered by Snapdragon 823 processor. The Galaxy Note 6 is said to pack an impressive 6GB of RAM and come with 32GB of storage for the base model, with expandable storage support via microSD card. The report also says that currently the Galaxy Note 6 runs developer version of Android N and can be expected to be revealed soon after Google officially reveals its latest OS version to general public.

On the camera front, Samsung may opt for the 12-megapixel dual-pixel rear camera seen on the Galaxy S7 and Galaxy S7 Edge, the report added. Much like other high-end Galaxy devices, the Galaxy Note 6 is expected to feature fingerprint scanner.

One of the biggest improvements in the Galaxy Note 6 is said to be in battery department. The handset is likely to pack a 4000mAh battery. To recall, the Galaxy Note 5 came with a 3000mAh battery. The report concludes saying that the details of the Galaxy Note 6 are not finalised and there may be changes.

We’ll have to wait and see which rumours come true with the Galaxy Note 6, although it won’t be surprising to see Samsung stick with the Glass and Metal design body that it has used in the S6, S7 and even the Note 5.
