FitFeet to Participate in the 20th Cohort of Blackbox Connect in the U.S

FitFeet; a Ugandan based footwear manufacturing social enterprise startup firm alongside 3 other African startups: Nigeria’s online automated savings platform Piggybank, Kenya’s based micro-lending place for Africa Pezesha, and South African tradesman review and booking platform Kandua, will be a part of the 20th cohort of Silicon Valley-based incubator Blackbox Connect that is powered by Google for Entrepreneurs. They will be participanting with other startups hailing from Argentina, Brazil, Germany, Ireland, Italy, the Netherlands, Mongolia, Spain, the United Kingdom, and the United States.

Blackbox Connect aims to elevate entrepreneurs from around the world, and is based on the belief that entrepreneurs are core to economic growth.  Entrepreneurs are nominated by local hubs from around the world, with only eight percent of nominees accepted onto the programme.

This year’s cohort, 16 high-potential entrepreneurs from 14 countries (Uganda inclusive) were selected to take part and will travel to San Francisco for a two-week immersive program to hone their vision, transform the scale of their ambition, and elevate their potential. The event is the culmination of Blackbox Connect and an opportunity to showcase high-growth ventures from across the globe to the Silicon Valley community.

Notably, the programme culminates in a Startup Showcase next month on December 7th where startups will pitch to a live audience of Silicon Valley investors, potential corporate partners, and tech leaders and experts.

Fit Feet are helping all school going children in primary school, living in Kasokoso slum, acquire fitting shoes for school – being one of their vision they would love to achieve by 2020.
