Confirmed: The Apple Car is coming in 2019

A new report from The Wall Street Journal’s Daisuke Wakabayashi has revealed that Apple is working towards releasing its first car in 2019.

According to the report, the company is referring to this as a “committed project” internally and plans to triple the number of people working on it.

Consisiting of 600 people, the initiative is called Project Titan, and the report notes, building a car from scratch is complex, and those familiar with Apple’s plans were skeptical that the company would be able to hit that deadline.

Previously, there were rumours that Apple was working on a project that would “give Tesla a run for its money.”

We will keep you updated of any developments.

  1. There is no electric grid around that can sustain the tremendous load of charging thousands of electric cars day after day. If electric cars were here today and had fast charging batteries, their power draw on the grid would be so high they would put the lights out — leaving us all in the dark.
But hydrogen cars store their energy in the fuel molecules themselves — eliminating the need to transfer huge amounts of raw power all at once. This distinction alone makes hydrogen the only workable solution for mass transportation. Looks like the battery car folks got it wrong — and they are steering us wrong.
