How to Live Stream As Huawei Unveils the P30 Smartphones

Huawei skipped the MWC 2019 in Barcelona to launch their P30 smartphones in Paris, France today. The Chinese smartphone maker will be releasing the phones at 2PM Paris local time (4PM East African Time).

Huawei will live stream the event on its YouTube page. So if you won’t make it to Paris, YouTube has you covered. The live stream link has already gone live. You can set a reminder to tune in to the launch event as soon as it kicks off.

The company revealed the date in a pinned tweet in Feb. with the tagline ‘Rules were made to be rewritten. Paris, 26.03.2019.’ and a brief video featuring shots of the Eiffel Tower and Arc de Triomphe suggesting the phone’s camera zooming capabilities.

What Are The Expectations?
First thing first, Huawei is rumored to give the new handsets; P30 and P30 Pro smartphones a Kirin 980 SoC — and will run on Android 9 (Pie). The Huawei P30 Pro comes with OLED displays with curved edges and a waterdrop notch. The Huawei P30, on the other hand, is said to have a smaller, non-curved display with a waterdrop notch and thin bezels.

The Pro will have a quad camera setup this was confirmed in earlier leaks by Richard Yu. The setup is set at 40MP primary camera, 20MP secondary camera (wide angle) and 8MP camera (zoom). The fourth sensor will be a ToF camera. On the other hand the P30 will have a triple camera setup 40MP+16MP+8MP.

The Chinese maker is also rumored to launch a lite version, the Huawei P30 Lite. But this hasn’t been officially confirmed.

Rumored Price
They won’t be coming cheap though Huawei still needs to have a firm stand in the market that has competition of Samsung and Apple.

The Huawei P30 Pro rumored to come at EUR 1,024 (roughly UGX) for the 8GB/128GB variant. The 6GB/128GB variant rumored for EUR 999 (around UGX) while the 8GB/256GB model will carry a price tag of EUR 1,099 (roughly UGX).

The Huawei P30 according to leaks, will be priced at EUR 749 (roughly UGX) for the 6GB RAM/128GB variant.

There is no word on the price of the Huawei P30 Lite.
