Pinterest wants to buy “Acqhire,” A Deep Linking Startup URX

Photo sharing website Pinterest is in talks to bring on staff from mobile startup URX, which has raised over $15 million in four rounds of financing since launching in 2013.

Sources have revealed that the potential Pinterest tie-up would mainly be for talent acquisition with some URX investors receiving Pinterest stock in the deal.

No comment sofar form Pinterest, and neither did URX executives did not respond to requests for comment.

URX is one of the prominent startups working on deep linking, a technology that lets apps to talk to each other so users can tap from inside one app to access a specific point inside another.

If the deal is to become successful, It would be an indication of Pinterest’s plans to bolster its mobile ad business.

  1. This article has a very confusing title. I think what you meant to say was, “Pinterest looks to ‘acqhire’ deep-linking startup URX.” where “URX” is the company being “acqhired” by Pinterest.
