Tech Brands Go Big On The ALS Ice Bucket Challenge

ALS (Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis) is a disease that affects the upper and lower Neurons causing loss in voluntary movements, this disease is so bad that it will cause your muscles to stop walking or interfere with your ability to swallow, talk and even breathe, this disease kills you between 3-5 years of acquiring because it has no cure.

The past Week Social Media has been going crazy about this challenge and the big names in the Tech Industry have been challenged to take on the Ice bucket challenge, a challenge where you pour a bucket of ice water on your head to raise awareness of ALS or donate to the research of this killer disease to the ALS Association.

The Challenge got our attention when Mark Zuckerberg poured Ice cold water on his head and challenged Bill Gates, Sheryl Sandberg and Reed Hastings and these guys had only 24 hours to accept the challenge or donate $100 to the cause.

Bill Gates took the challenge but made it look Geeky when he designed a simple prototype to pour water on himself, Bill challenged Ryan Seacrest, Chris Anderson and Elon Musk the CEO of SpaceX . The challenge was also taken by Apple CEO Tim Cook and Microsoft’s Satya Nadella

Google Co-Founders Larry Page and Sergey  also took some Ice on their heads, but my best Ice bucket Challenge video is so far from the CEO of Amazon Jeff Bezos who tried to dare some very strange people like the Pope and Snowden.

I personally think it means so much to see the big names in Tech, take on a cause like raising money to fight ALS and getting them soaked in water is an amazing way for them to show support towards the end of ALS.
