TECNO Spark 3 Launches in Uganda: Specs, Price & Availability
TECNO Uganda has today at the Sheraton Hotel, officially launched the TECNO Spark 3 and Spark 3 Pro. The two handsets become the successor of the Spark 2 and 2 Pro — as well being the latest in Spark series. The launch in Uganda follows the launches in Nigeria and Kenya in April.
The new phones are tagged along their improved cameras that come integrated with Artificial Intelligence technology. According to TECNO, the camera-centric smartphones have been “upgraded with AI technology to furthermore advanced camera features” compared to its predecessors.
TECNO Mobile Uganda Marketing Manager, Gladys Liu, as she officially took the leaf off the two smartphones said, “We’re proud to announce the release of TECNO Spark 3 series. Equipped with the latest AI technology, the success of Spark 3 is predicted to surpass its predecessor.”
The series of smartphone normally targets youths most especially university students. Thus, it’s with no doubt the tremendous performance of the TECNO Spark 2 and 2 Pro. The company believes that the new pieces will definitely surpass its predecessor in sales.
The phones come with, ‘not that much’ but improved in specs and performance. The key highlights of the phone being the 6.2-Inch display, AI Bright Cameras, bigger battery and Android 9.0 Pie.
The phones come with a classy and trendy appearance and has a visual thickness of 5.75mm.
Specifications of the Spark 3
The dual SIM handset comes with a 6.2-Inch Full View display, and aspect screen ratio of 19:9 and a resolution of 720p. It runs with Android 9.0 Pie topped with HiOS v.5.0 paired with a MTK6761 processor, Quad-Core, 2.0GHz chipset, and 1GB RAM (for Spark 3), 2GB (for Spark 3 Pro). It comes with an on-board storage of 16GB RAM expandable with a microSD card of up-to 128GB.
The Spark 3s come with dual rear cameras coupled with 13MP+2MP sensors and 8MP for the front camera. As we mentioned before, the cameras come equipped with AI and configured for to give brighter and better photos. Hence, photos result in high quality, bright, crispy, sharp and smooth. The cameras have features including; HDR, Panaroma, Bokeh, 3D Face Fine-Tuning, among others.
In terms of connectivity, they support a 3.5mm earphone jack, Bluetooth v5.0, Wi-Fi, GPS — including sensors such as; Fingerprint Sensor, G-sensor, Ambient Light Sensor, and Proximity Sensor. The Spark 3 smartphones also come with a FaceID feature to unlock your phone.
Price, Color and Availability
The Spark 3 comes in four color options; Midnight Black, Champagne Gold, Bordeaux Red and Aqua Blue. The starting RRP is UGX429,000 and UGX489,000 for the Spark 3 and 3 PRO respectively.
They are available in the market starting today, May 6th in all TECNO outlets countrywide.
