MTN’s 15 Million Subscriber to be Rewarded With UGX15 Million

MTN has today announced hitting 15 million subscribers on its network —cementing its leadership position in the telecom industry in Uganda.

“The management and staff of MTN Uganda are proud to have achieved the 15 million subscriber landmark. We are grateful to our subscribers, the Government, our regulator as well as technology partners for their support to us in achieving this,” the telco’s Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Wim Vanhelleputte said in a brief statement.

Celebrating their milestone, MTN will be giving away a UGX15 million to their 15 millionth subscriber. However, the catch is the 15 millionth customer will only keep UGX5 million, and share the balance of UGX10 million with ten (10) other MTN Customers of his/her choice each receiving UGX1 million.

The telco hasn’t revealed who the 15 millionth subscriber is, but we shall keep you updated.

Meanwhile, MTN Uganda continues to demonstrate market share leadership with over 50% of 28 million telecom subscribers.
