MTN Uganda’s new Kabode Supa smartphone reaffirms the telco’s commitment to making smart devices more accessible and affordable for all Ugandans. “At MTN, we believe that everyone deserves the benefits of a modern connected life,” Mackinon Kabarole, Acting Chief Marketing Officer of MTN Uganda, said during the launch that was held at the New Taxi Park in Kampala.

“The Kabode Supa is more than just a smartphone; it’s a digital lifeline for students, entrepreneurs, and dreamers across Uganda,” she added. “It represents our mission to bridge the digital divide with reliable, affordable devices — because together, our vibes are unstoppable.”

The new Kabode Supa comes with upgraded features [compared to its predecessor that was launched in 2022] tailored for everyday use. It comes with an extended battery life, more RAM and onboard storage, and ensures smoother multitasking. It features an 8MP rear and 2MP front camera, letting users capture decent photos and videos. Additionally, customers get 16GB of free data over eight months to kickstart their digital journey — making it easier than ever to connect, learn, work, and entertain on the go.

With an initial deposit of just UGX45,000, customers can own the entry-level smartphone and pay the rest with daily, weekly, or monthly installments. Customers can choose to pay UGX900 installment daily, or UGX6,250 and UGX25,000, weekly or monthly, respectively —all payments include taxes, which, if lowered or waived, can significantly further reduce the cost of purchase.

The Kabode Supa is available at all MTN Shops across the country.

With the launch of Kabode Supa, MTN Uganda is taking another bold step toward ensuring that no one is left behind in the digital revolution. The device credit financing (mpola mpola) initiative has put smartphone devices in the hands of over 2 million customers to date.
