MTN Uganda has launched “Wi-Fi SIMU”, a device that combines three essential business tools; a fixed phone line, high-speed internet, and a mobile money payment solution into a single, convenient package.
MTN Wi-Fi SIMU is designed to cater to the dynamic needs of micro, small, and medium business owners, with an allowance for businesses to enjoy simultaneous HD calling and high-speed internet without any interruptions. This is made possible by the telco’s recent network upgrades, which include VoLTE capabilities, enhancing both voice and internet service experiences.

The MTN Wi-Fi SIMU combines a business ‘039’ number, a fixed phone, an inbuilt internet router, and a combo starter bundle, an all-in-one value pack, offering a unified value proposition.
It supports up to 32 Wi-Fi users with its robust inbuilt router, ensuring seamless connectivity for staff and guests, with uninterrupted Service for businesses to make voice calls while maintaining high-speed internet connectivity, ensuring no disruption in operations. In addition, the internal phone battery keeps your services running during power cuts.
The device also offers various subscription bundles to suit different business needs, ranging from Lite to Premium packs, offering a mix of Minutes to all networks, SMS, and high-speed Internet access.

Obtaining the Wi-Fi SIMU is a straightforward process. Businesses can visit any MTN Service Center or connect with MTN’s direct sales agents, who will guide them through the purchase and setup process.
To activate the MoMo Pay merchant code, dial *155# on their MTN Wi-Fi SIMU device and follow the prompts to enter their business details. Within 24 hours of purchase, you will receive an SMS containing a unique MoMo pay merchant code, enabling them to start accepting digital payments immediately.
