The Information Communication Technology Association of Uganda (ICTAU) has announced that on Wednesday, March 20th, 2024 is set to release key data on the latest trends shaping organizational strategy and innovation at a landmark gathering that will be held at Protea Skyz Hotel with sector players.
The event will entail a panel session with Uganda’s ICT sector members, including top CTOS, IT executives, policymakers, and innovators.
The panel session will include James Byaruhanga; the Managing Director of Roke Cloud, Ali Monzer; CTIO at MTN Uganda, Peter Muramira; Directorate of Investment at UIA, Rowena Turinawe; Head of Innovation & Digital Solutions at Cente Tech Services, and Ritah Kabanyoro; Country Director of Action Against Hunger. Isabel Odida; the Peering Manager at Gcore will be moderating the session.
In a press statement, newly elected ICTAU CEO; Gideon Nkurunungi said, “This event is more than a gathering; it’s a call to action for all ICT professionals and leaders to pioneer digital strategies and look beyond where technology is at today but where we are heading as a strategic asset for innovation, inclusivity, and national development.”
He also said, “We are at a pivotal moment in the evolution of Uganda’s digital landscape, where networking is not an opportunity but essential.”
The event will also feature a dynamic fireside chat exploring the indispensable role of digital mindsets in today’s organizational leadership.
Beyond the fireside chat, attendees will enjoy board games, an icebreaker session, dinner, and community group activities including a tech quiz —designed to foster collaboration, share insights, and catalyze the adoption of innovative digital strategies within their organizations and beyond.
