Recently Tecno Mobile celebrated its 15th anniversary with a remarkable Camon Doodle Party with a vibrant blend of technology and artistry. Held at The Villa in Bukoto, a township in Kampala, the Camon Doodle Party centered around the launch of the Camon 20 Doodle Edition the newest version in the Camon 20 Series that was launched in May this year.

The Villa was transformed to depict the fusion of Tecno’s iconic colors and captivating Doodle Art designs. The meticulous attention to detail created an ambiance that perfectly encapsulated the theme of blending technology with artistic expression. It was a show of art in different ways, with doodle colors shining everywhere, highlighting the Camon Doodle Party.

Tecno Product Consultant, Mr. Bruce Dickson took center stage to address the attendees including the media about the newly added Camon 20 Doodle Edition to the Camon 20 series. He emphasized how this innovative smartphone seamlessly blends art and technology — in other words, “Where Art Meets Technology”.

“Camon 20 Doodle is the only smartphone that gives off a fluorescent glow at night after absorbing daylight showing doodle artwork,” said Dickson. He adds “Mr. Doodle’s masterpiece now comes alive. Be the luminous muse to paint the night sky with splendor. Fill every moment with vibrant hues.”

The Camon 20 Doodle art edition is in partnership with the famous Mr. Doodle, a U.K-based artist whose doodle art drawing is embedded on the back cover of the phone and is visible at night when the light-sensitive back cover of Camon 20 Doodle gives off a fluorescent glow after absorbing daylight.

The Camon 20 Doodle Edition doesn’t differ much from the rest of the phablets in the series — specifically, the Tecno Camon 20 Pro. So, it comes with a 6.67-inch AMOLED display with a resolution of 1080p, and a refresh rate of 120Hz. The phone also comes with a 6nm Helio G99 chipset, an Octa-core processor, 8GB of RAM, 512GB of onboard storage, a 5,000mAh battery, an Android 13 OS under HIOS 13, a 32MP front-facing camera, a dual-rear camera (64MP (main) + 2MP (depth)), and support fast charging. The front and rear cameras can shoot videos in 1080p at 30fps — and the rear can go up to 4K at 30fps.

To wrap it all the phone is a 5G-enabled handset ensuring a smoother and more reliable network connection and faster internet speeds for a more fluent browsing experience.

The edition comes in three variants and the price is similar to the other variants. The Camon 20 Doodle is priced at UGX810,000, the Camon 20 Doodle Pro at UGX962,000, and the Camon 20 Doodle Premier (5G) at UGX1,800,000. Dickson unveiled an enticing offer, which allows customers to acquire this cutting-edge device from Take Now on an installment payment plan, requiring only a UGX237,000 initial deposit.

Tecno’s 15th-anniversary celebration was a harmonious fusion of technology, art, and entertainment. It was meticulously curated to create an unforgettable evening that showcased the brand’s commitment to innovation and style. The Camon 20 Doodle Edition took center stage, symbolizing Tecno’s dedication to pushing the boundaries of technology while embracing aesthetics.
