The inaugural TICONA Conference will be held under the theme: “Unifying ICT Talents to Power the Continent to 2030 and Beyond” and will take place in Entebbe, Uganda, from 6 to 9 September 2023. The event is expected to bring together leading technology experts, innovators, entrepreneurs, and thought leaders from across Africa, and will provide a vital platform for the exchange of ideas, insights, and best practices to drive innovation, digital transformation, and technological advancements across various sectors.
The conference program features keynote presentations, panel discussions, workshops, and interactive sessions covering a wide range of topics related to technology and its impact on Africa. Participants will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts, engage in lively discussions, and network with peers from diverse backgrounds, including government representatives, industry leaders, academia, and nonprofit organizations.
“We are thrilled to launch the inaugural TICONA conference in Entebbe, Uganda,” said David Gowu, the President of TICONA. “Africa is home to a wealth of untapped talent and potential in the technology sector. By bringing together industry professionals and thought leaders, we aim to catalyze meaningful collaborations, spark innovation and drive the adoption of transformative technologies that can shape the future of Africa.”
The conference will also feature a technology showcase, providing a platform for startups, innovators, and technology companies to showcase their cutting-edge solutions, products, and services. This exhibition will offer participants a firsthand experience of the latest advancements in areas such as artificial intelligence, blockchain, cybersecurity, fintech, e-commerce, health tech, and more.
With a focus on promoting sustainable development, TICONA seeks to harness the potential of technology to address the continent’s unique challenges and unlock new opportunities for growth.
TICONA urges technology enthusiasts, entrepreneurs, policymakers, researchers, and anyone passionate about the role of technology in Africa’s development to participate in the inaugural TICONA Conference.
The conference will be held alongside the second annual African Marketing Confederation (AMC) Conference, in Uganda. Both events are powered by AfricaPro, which works in partnership with professional bodies throughout Africa to organize their annual events, fostering collaboration and synergy among diverse role players.
